Full refurbishment of a late 1800s guesthouse in Falmouth, brought up to modern standards while keeping the building’s original character. Completed over a 7-month programme.

Works included a new roof, replacement windows and doors, and a full internal strip-out. Walls and ceilings were rebuilt to meet current fire and acoustic requirements, alongside a complete M&E upgrade including new plumbing, electrics, and a building-wide fire system. Oak fire doors with keycard access were fitted throughout.

The layout was reworked to provide 13 en-suite bedrooms, a mix of family and single rooms. Structural changes included new steelwork to support the revised layout, and a new insulated ground floor slab was installed.

Externally, the building was fully redecorated. Two new fitted kitchens were also delivered to suit the building’s ongoing use.

The project was managed from start to finish, covering cost consultancy, project management, and construction, with a focus on keeping things well coordinated and on programme.
